The Age Of Terror Is Upon Us: A Vampire Hunter$, Inc. Campaign
Background: There is nothing more important in your life than your burning hatred for the undead, especially vampires. You are not fully human; you are a dhampir, a human who has been infused with unholy vampiric energies.
Dhampirs come from from three sources; those created by vampires, those created by humans, and those created ‘naturally’. Vampires can infuse favored thralls with vampiric power, granting them a host of vampire-like abilities without turning them. Powerful blood magic rituals can do much the same thing, fusing vampiric blood with living human tissue to create powerful inhuman monsters; many such dhampirs were created out of American soldiers during Operation Orlok. Finally, when a pregnant woman survives a vampire attack, her child will be a dhampir.
However, unlike some dhampirs, you have not fully submerged yourself in your vampiric abilities. Instead, you use your powers to hunt vampires.
Ability Scores: Your primary ability score is either Strength or Dexterity; depending on your weapon or fighting style, you focus on either your inhuman strength or your preternatural speed. The other of these two, along with your Wisdom score, are your two secondary ability scores; Deadstalkers rely on instinct and experience during the hunt and have many techniques that take advantage of their battle-wisdom, while diversifying their strength and speed allows them access to a wider array of attacks and battle strategies.
Role: Striker. You excel in picking off targets, hunting them down one-by-one, especially when you’re able to track down one of the undead. Thanks to the unnatural vitality you possess from your undead heritage, you lean towards Defender as a secondary role.
